Our Story
Originally, dogs ate raw meat, bones, organs, vegetables and fruit.
A few decades ago, we humans began feeding our dogs grains as well. Today, dogs have adapted to eating grains to some extent, but they are not part of their original diet.
Sometimes life gets so hectic that we find ourselves focusing on things that don’t really matter. We ask ourselves: How did we get here? Yet there are still places in the world where life moves at a slower pace, traditions are preserved and wisdom is passed down to future generations.
The dog and cat food we produce comes from just such a place. Since the 1980s, we have been producing high-quality pet food from pure ingredients in the small town of Pietarsaari, on Finland’s west coast. We wanted to offer an alternative for dog and cat owners who prefer a different approach to feeding their pets – higher-quality, species-appropriate food without additives or unnecessary fillers.
We don’t use grains in our MUSH products. You can also be sure that our products contain no additives, preservatives or any other questionable ingredients. MUSH is the choice for those who want to provide their pets with the best possible nutrition without compromise.

Our Principles
Our promise to you is to deliver natural dog and cat food that complies with high-quality requirements. We make it easy, smooth, and safe for you to give the best feed to your pet. This is what transparency, natural, raw frozen, and complete means for us and your pet’s health:
We say yes to transparency
We set high-quality standards for our products and we expect our suppliers to do the same. The origin of the food is important, and our animal raw materials come from carefully selected producers in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
We Say Yes to Additive-Free Pet Food
You will not find synthetic additives, preservatives or grains in our food. We at MUSH want to give all dogs and cats the opportunity to eat better food – food that is fresh, clean, unprocessed, and free from additives and unnecessary things.
We Say Yes to Raw Frozen Food
Our products are raw frozen and thus less processed. In this way, the natural nutrients are best preserved.
We Say Yes to Complete Nutrition
Each bag (yes, actually every bun!) of our complete feed contains a balanced amount of each raw material. We make it easy to raw feed and you will see how good your pet feels when it is allowed to eat food that it is meant to eat.
